Five numbers an owner should check every week.

A short list that shows what needs attention. You do not need a dozen reports for that.

  1. Revenue and what it is made of

Not just the total, but also the number of orders and the average order value: this shows what drove the result.

  2. New customers

The number of new customers drops before revenue does. That is why it is worth watching first.

  3. Repeat purchases

The share and frequency of repeat purchases show whether the business keeps its customers.

  4. Conversion at the key stages

One or two steps in the funnel where the result is decided. For example, from a meeting to a proposal.

  5. State of the data

Are the sources updating and is everything filled in? Without this line, the other numbers can confidently show something untrue.
